Football: Carson is No. 2 seed

It was between Venice and Carson for the City Section’s No. 2 seed, and the Colts emerged victorious when it was put to a vote. This could prove important because the No. 2 seed is guaranteed to host the semifinal game should it advance that far.

Venice (9-1) finished with a better record, losing only to Oaks Christian, but Carson (8-2) won the Marine League, which was rated a stronger league than the Western League.
