Football: Gardena Serra’s home away from home

The Gardena Serra football team is getting to know the Central Coast pretty well. On Friday night, the Cavaliers traveled to Nipomo for a quarterfinal playoff game and didn’t get home until 2 a.m.

Next Friday night, they’ll be back for a semifinal game at Santa Maria St. Joseph. It’s more than 300 miles for a round trip from Gardena. Any fan who’s dedicated enough to make the trip on two consecutive weekends deserves a free room at the Days Inn.
