Summit defeated Santa Monica, 40-39, today at Brea Olinda High.

The Vikings’ Thea Lemberger fouled out of the game with five minutes left on the clock and Santa Monica up by seven points. Santa Monica, which had not trailed the entire game, scored only four points without its star, enabling Summit to clinch the come-from-behind victory.

Santa Monica had a one-and-one free throw opportunity with three seconds left in the game but could not convert.
