Football: Narbonne & Carson feature big-time runs

Soon after fans marveled over Narbonne senior tailback Melvin Davis running in for his third touchdown - this one on a 20-yard run that gave the Gauchos a 34-17 lead with 2:20 remaining --the Colts immediately had an answer.

That came in Myles Johnson, who darted down the left sideline, cut through the middle of the field and then accelerated toward the right sideline for a 95-yard kickoff return. The extra point reduced Narbonne’s lead to 35-24 with 1:19 left in the third quarter.
