Boys’ basketball: Corona Centennial goes to title game

Gelaun Wheelwright scored 27 points and Dominique Dunning had 14 to lead Corona Centennial to an 87-79 victory over La Verne Lutheran in a semifinal at the Rose City Classic.

Centennial (3-0) advanced to play Price (3-0), which defeated host Pasadena in the other semifinal, in the championship at 8 tonight.

Eric Cooper had 24 points and Bruce English 22 for Lutheran (2-1).
