Football: Two classy programs set to battle

Saturday’s Pac-5 Division final between Anaheim Servite (12-1) and Huntington Beach Edison (13-0) features two coaches and two programs to admire.

What makes the game so exciting is the respect everyone has for each other, from coaches to players. Servite’s Troy Thomas and Edison’s Dave White have come to enjoy each other’s competitiveness while appreciating the way each runs his program.

I caught up with both at Monday’s Southern Section luncheon, and you can tell the respect they have and how much they like their players.
