North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake (5-4) came away with a 54-42 win over Mercer Island (Wa.) in a pool-play victory of the Desert Heat Classic in Palm Springs.
Erik Swoope had 19 points for the Wolverines. Guard Austin Kelly, back from off-season knee surgery, had six assists in his season debut.
