Woodland Hills Taft (8-1) had no trouble knocking Mesa (Ariz.) (8-1) from the unbeaten ranks on Saturday with an 85-51 victory in the MaxPreps Holiday Classic in San Diego.
Pierson Williams scored 19 points, Bryce Jones had 16, Landon Drew 14 and DeAndre Daniels 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Toreadors, who will play Oakland Bishop O’Dowd on Monday.
