Football: Hart player picks his dream school

Ty MacArthur, a 5-foot-9, 155-pound receiver-defensive back from Newhall Hart, has committed to the school he has wanted to attend since he was a sophomore, the Air Force Academy.
He is an example for high school athletes if you work hard, take care of business in the classroom and relentlessly pursue your goals, good things can happen.
“Honestly, nobody except for my parents and my siblings thought I could play big-time Division I football,” MacArthur said.
Air Force wasn’t even sold on MacArthur until late in his senior year. He proved he was one of the hardest hitters in the Foothill League and could make big plays on offense, where he’ll play for Air Force.
With a 3.7 grade-point average, he wants to either fly airplanes or go to medical school. And he intends to stick with football.
“You have to have a will to win,” he said. “You can’t be soft. This is football. You have to love contact, you have to love hitting. You have to get down and dirty.”
