L.A. Price holds a 17-14 lead over La Verne Lutheran after one quarter of their nonleague game at Price.
La Verne Lutheran went on a 9-0 run to take a 12-9 lead. The key for the Trojans was denying the ball to Price’s leading scorer, Allen Crabbe, who got off one shot for much of the quarter. Averaging 23 points, Crabbe went scoreless until putting in a dunk on a rebound at the end of the quarter.
Sophomore Grant Jerrett had two baskets for Lutheran.
