Let the debate begin about offering scholarships to 13-year-olds

Thanks to USC Coach Lane Kiffin, the debate has begun about offering 13-year-olds a college scholarship. He decided quarterback David Sills, a seventh-grader from Delaware, was worthy of playing football for USC.

Now, lots of people are weighing in, like Mark Saxon from ESPNLosAngeles, who quotes Coach Bill Redell of Westlake Village Oaks Christian as saying, ‘To be honest with you, I think the whole thing’s out of whack.’

Absolutely. So is anybody going to do anything about it? Don’t think so. We’ll know in 2015 if this is all a joke.
