Get your pencils and erasers out, because freshmen are on the move, and the football rosters are changing every day.

West Hills Chaminade, whose program hired a high-profile coach in Ed Croson last season, has picked up another top freshman transfer in running back Dionza Blue from La Puente Bishop Amat. He lived in the San Fernando Valley and was commuting to Bishop Amat but has enrolled at Chaminade. He joins Terrell Newby, a freshman running back transfer from Van Nuys Montclair Prep.

Encino Crespi got a freshman running back transfer from Santa Monica, Timothy Hayes. And Los Angeles Cathedral has picked up Zachary Green, a freshman running back from Oaks Christian, and Hayden Rettig, a freshman quarterback from San Clemente who’s the younger brother of Boston College-bound QB Chase Rettig.

All should be eligible because of the state-wide one-free transfer rule for freshmen.

And just wait until the spring semester ends and we get to see who shows up for summer football practice.
