Boys’ basketball: Lutheran in front 43-40 at halftime

Sophomore guard Gabe York swished a three-pointer with 13 seconds left in the second quarter to give second-seeded Orange Lutheran a surprising 43-40 halftime lead over top-seeded Los Angeles Price in the Division 4AA championship game.

Senior guard Casey Trujeque tried to answer for Serra, but his three-point try at the halftime buzzer hit the rim and bounced away.

Serra took several leads in the second quarter but Lutheran answered each Knights’ run with one of its own. The Lancers started the game hot from the outside and still haven’t cooled off.
