Boys’ volleyball: Site, day, time set for Loyola-Mira Costa

The day, time and site for perhaps the top boys’ volleyball match of the regular season has been finally decided.

Los Angeles Loyola, ranked No. 1 in the coaches’ poll, and No. 2 Manhattan Beach Mira Costa will play on Saturday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at Redondo High.

That’s also the same night of the Southern California Regional basketball finals at USC’s Galen Center, but Loyola couldn’t convince Loyola Marymount to serve as the site for the match on Mach 19.

So the volleyball faithful can head out to the South Bay to enjoy what figures to be another Loyola-Mira Costa classic on March 20.
