Taft blew a nine-point lead and heads into the fourth quarter with a 47-44 lead over Leuzinger.

Leuzinger has been sticking with a full-court press, and it produced three turnovers in the third quarter. Then Leuzinger switched to a half-court trap, and it produced more turnovers. Taft’s guards looked confused. Twice Taft Coach Derrick Taylor had to call timeouts.

Taft turnovers (eight) and fouls (the Toreadors had eight) allowed the Olympians to get back into the game after trailing by as many as nine points in the quarter.

Bryce Jones of Taft picked up his fourth foul with 1:40 left in the quarter, and that leaves the Toreadors vulnerable to defeat.
