Santa Ana Mater Dei pole vaulter Michael Woepse has cleared 17 feet in the pole vault in consecutive weeks outside and indoor. The latest came Saturday at the Nike Indoor Nationals in Boston, when he went 17-01.75.
Last week, he went 17-0 during a meet against Anaheim Esperanza. He has signed with UCLA.
