Los Angeles Fairfax, coached by Rocky Sherwood, played Santa Clarita Golden Valley, who had two sons of Sherwood in the starting lineup on Tuesday.

Fairfax won, 2-0, behind Anthony Giannelli, who threw a three-hitter. Each Sherwood boy had a chance to tie the game in the seventh. ‘I would be lying if I said I wasn’t pulling for them to do it,’ Rocky said in an e-mail.

Well, the boys now have to take out the trash and mow the lawn. At least that’s what I think should happen.
