Van Nuys Montclair Prep survived the rain and Cerritos Valley Christian, improving to 15-5 overall and 5-0 in the Olympic League with an 11-3 victory at Valley Christian.
Max Fried struck out nine in six innings and also contributed three hits. Max Miller hit a two-run home run and Paul Aldape added a three-run home run. Blake Steele, Josh Brodsky and Myles Hager added two hits apiece.
In the Mission League, Alemany (16-5, 5-2) defeated Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 7-2. Ryan Paramo (5-1) pitched six innings for the victory. Edgar Montes went three for three with two RBIs.
