No one can doubt the consistency of Jared Ortiz, a senior outfielder at Valencia West Ranch. On Friday, he got another hit, which means in each of West Ranch’s 26 games this season, Ortiz has come away with at least one hit.

West Ranch ended its Foothill League season with a 12-7 victory over Saugus. Ryan Keller earned his seventh win of the season and Allen Sarkissian had three hits and three RBIs.

Newhall Hart (13-13) clinched a Southern Section Division 1 playoff berth with a 12-1 win over Santa Clarita Golden Valley. The Indians, who came in with only one home run on the season, got home runs from Patrick Valaika, Dallas Bacon and Josh Brown. Alex Tenorio threw a three-hitter.

Valencia defeated Canyon Country Canyon, 9-1.
