Baseball: Yucaipa opens 3-0 lead on No. 2 Crespi

Yucaipa has taken a 3-0 lead over Encino Crespi, seeded No. 2, in the Southern Section Division 2 playoffs. Yucaipa pitcher Taijuan Walker, throwing 95 mph, has the Celts shut out through four innings. He has picked off two runners at first base.

In the City Section Division 1 playoffs, Woodland Hills El Camino Real has beaten Lake Balboa Birmingham, 11-1, in a five-inning mercy rule. Chatsworth leads Woodland Hills Taft, 6-3, in third inning.
