Baseball: Scovel delivers three-run triple for ECR

With one swing, third baseman Justin Scovel of El Camino Real has changed the complexion of the City Section Division I final at Dodger Stadium.

After San Pedro pitcher Matt Zuvich loaded the bases with three walks in the bottom of the fourth, Scovel hit a bases-clearing triple, wiping out a 3-1 deficit and giving El Camino Real a 4-3 lead.

Zuvich was pulled in favor of Armando Martinez, and Jose Cardona followed with an RBI double. El Camino Real leads San Pedro, 5-3, after four innings.
