Baseball: Cornerstone Christian maintains lead

Los Angeles Milken has been applying pressure to pitcher Nathan Roth in the Southern Section Division 7 championship game, but Cornerstone Christian still has a 1-0 lead entering the bottom of the third inning.

Singles by Corey Gitman and David Blazer with two outs in the third gave Milken a chance to score, but first baseman Nick Alpers made an over-the-shoulder catch of a pop fly to get the third out.
