Football: Highland wins Beverly Hills tournament

Palmdale Highland, behind junior quarterback Christian Tago, won the 19-team Beverly Hills passing tournament on Saturday, defeating West Torrance in the championship game.

Beverly Hills and Culver City also reached the semifinals. Los Angeles Dorsey, Manhattan Beach Mira Costa, La Puente Bishop Amat and Upland were among the schools competing.

Tago showed off a nice passing touch throwing deep patterns and with short balls. Hunter Sharp was one of his top receivers.
