Former West Hills Chaminade thrower Conor McCullough won the World Junior Championship in the hammer throw on Sunday in Moncton, Canada with an effort 80.79 meters, which is more than 265 feet, a personal best.

McCullough, who now attends Princeton, is on his way to becoming one of the best hammer throwers in the United States.
