Long Beach Poly is in big trouble, trailing Ventura St. Bonaventure, 22-0, with 25 seconds left in the second quarter, and one of St. Bonaventure’s ‘no-name’ players, junior quarterback Marc Evans, is making a name for himself.

Evans has completed 14 of 17 passes for 169 yards. He threw 12 yards to Jeremy Sanchez for the Seraphs’ latest touchdown.

St. Bonaventure’s defense has been in complete control for two quarters.

And just how good is the Marmonte League this season? Westlake leads Oxnard, 28-0. Thousand Oaks won its opener. And there’s still Oaks Christian to think about.
