Football: St. John Bosco-Lakewood gets off to sloppy start

It’s been a sloppy game so far.

St. John Bosco and Lakewood combined for three penalties on the first two drives, both of which ended in turnovers.

Lakewood defensive back Shane Watson intercepted Rene Medina‘s pass and returned it to the Braves’ 31-yard line. Five plays later, St. John Bosco blocked Alex Boy‘s 40-yard field-goal attempt with nine minutes remaining in the first quarter.
