Football: Taft looks impressive on opening drive

Michael Bercovici came out throwing on Taft’s first drive of the game, marching the Toreadors 80 yards in eight plays, capped by a 21-yard scoring pass to Kenny Thompson.

Bercovici completed five of six passes for 78 yards on the drive, but the snap was high on the extra point attempt and holder David Leong was tackled in the backfield. Taft leads 6-0 with 9:03 left in the first quarter.
