Perhaps George Farmer of Gardena Serra is trying to emulate is former Serra teammate, Robert Woods, now a freshman at USC.

Farmer caught his second touchdown of the night, this time from 36 yards with seven seconds left in the second quarter, giving Serra a 27-14 halftime lead over St. Francis.

Farmer has caught four passes for 147 yards.

Serra might want to make sure no video copies of the first half get out to any commissioners who vote on CIF bowl games. The Cavaliers were not sharp.

Also, St. Francis got strong play from cornerback Parker Nieves, who had an interception and was doing his best trying not to get beat deep.
