Garfield pulls away with another touchdown

Quarterback Leonardo Vaal, whose only previous pass of the game had been intercepted, completed a 37-yard touchdown pass to Steven De La Torre to give Garfield a 13-3 lead over Roosevelt with 6 minutes 52 seconds left in the East L.A. Classic.

The two-point conversion run failed.

The Rough Riders are in serious trouble because they have been largely unable to move the ball, relying on three Garfield turnovers to stay within striking distance.
