Last season, Lakewood advanced all the way to the Pac-5 semifinals with multi-talented quarterback Jesse Scroggins, who threw for nearly 2,400 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Scroggins is now at USC, but his replacement, Tyler Schultz, is doing just fine for the Lancers. The senior captain has 1,859 yards passing and 28 touchdowns entering tonight’s playoff opener against San Clemente.

San Clemente junior quarterback Travis Wilson is no slouch, having thrown for 1,715 yards and 12 touchdowns and rushed for 379 yards and four more scores.

With two excellent signal-callers running these two potent offenses, there figures to be plenty of scoring. Both teams are on the field warming up and we’re less than 20 minutes from kickoff.
