Long Beach Poly takes 3-0 lead over Mater Dei

Alan Roniss kicked a 35-yard field goal to give Long Beach Poly a 3-0 lead over Santa Ana Mater Dei on its opening possession of the Pac-5 Division playoff opener.

Poly started the game with quarterback Chaiyes Hales completing a 49-yard pass to Richard Smith, who stole the ball away from Mater Dei safety Tyler Meglan by outleaping him for the ball and pulling it away from Meglan as they hit the turf.
