Boys’ basketball: Olden Polynice to join Dominguez staff

Former NBA player Olden Polynice is scheduled to join the basketball coaching staff at Compton Dominguez next week as an assistant coach, first-year head Coach Grady Johnson said.
Polynice helped run some practices at Simi Valley Stoneridge Prep earlier this year. He has coached with Johnson in summer competitions.
Johnson is the third Dominguez coach since Russell Otis was forced out. Johnson previously coached at Hamilton High and Santa Monica College. The Dons are 2-5 this season.
