There have been five turnovers in the first quarter of the City Division I final and finally some points scored, with De’Anthony Thomas of Crenshaw returning an interception 14 yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead over Carson.

After Carson quarterback Justin Alo had to leave the game briefly because of an injury, his replacement, Dion Willis, fumbled and Crenshaw recovered on the Carson 33.

But Tracy Harris made his second interception of the game for Carson at the six-yard line. Why Crenshaw continues to pass is a mystery.
