Rain continues to fall at Home Depot Center, at last we have our first score of the day and, for the second game in a row, it came on a safety.

San Diego Madison running back Jeremy Hutchison slipped to the turf in his own end zone and Escalon has taken a 2-0 lead with 1:09 left in the first quarter. The Cougars will also get the ball back.

Escalon had a first-and-goal inside the Madison five-yard line, but running back Josh Miguel was dragged down one foot short of the goal line, setting up the safety on Madison’s first offensive play.

Centennial quarterback Michael Eubank fell on a loose ball in his own end zone for the first points of Friday night’s Division I game.
