Boys’ basketball: Guerrero goes for 40 points

Bellflower St. John Bosco guard Cezar Guerrero scored 40 points Tuesday night, but the Braves were beaten by Orange Lutheran, 86-72, in a Trinity League game.

L.A. Windward (18-7, 8-1) stayed atop the Alpha League standings with a 70-53 victory over North Hollywood Campbell Hall. Harvard-bound Wesley Saunders scored 29 points and had 13 rebounds.
