It’s dead even through two quarters in the Southern Section Division 1A championship game between Fullerton Troy and Huntington Beach Edison at the Anaheim Convention Center. The score is 22-22 and there have already been seven ties and six lead changes.

Stanford-bound Bonnie Samuelson leads all scorers with 14 points and is 12 of 12 from the free throw line for top-seeded Edison. The Chargers are fortunate to be tied after shooting just 23.5% in the first half compared to 44.4% for the second-seeded Warriors.

Seven players have scored at least two points for Troy, which is trying to avenge a 46-32 nonleague loss in January. The Warriors scored the first seven points of the game, but Edison came back to tie it 10-10 at the end of the first quarter.
