Boys’ basketball: Chatsworth wins City Division III title

Derrick Hector scored 26 points to help Chatsworth win the City Section Division III boys’ basketball championship Saturday night with a 66-61 win over Garfield. Terrell Funches added 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Garfield, which led at halftime, 27-22, received 21 points and 17 rebounds from Joe Joaquin.

In Division III girls, Monroe defeated Reseda, 66-27.
