Shortstop Brandon Martin hit two home runs to spark Corona Santiago to an 11-3 victory over Santa Ana Mater Dei on Friday.
Paul Aldape went three for three and sophomore Myles Hager struck out six as Van Nuys Montclair Prep (4-0) handed Woodland Hills Taft its first defeat, 8-3.
La Puente Bishop Amat defeated Corona, 10-5. A.J. Alcantara had two hits and Rio Ruiz added two doubles. Cole Young hit a grand slam for Corona.
Scott Barlow struck out 12 in Golden Valley’s 2-0 win over Palmdale Knight.
Westchester defeated Arleta, 2-1. Robert Gsellman hit a home run and also got the save. Paul Frias had three hits in Burbank’s 11-4 win over Palmdale Highland.
