Baseball: Lucas Giolito throws no-hitter for Harvard-Westlake

After throwing six shutout innings last week in a Southern Section Division 2 playoff opener. junior pitcher Lucas Giolito came back Tuesday to throw a no-hitter as North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake defeated Arroyo Grande, 1-0.

Giolito struck out 12 and walked two. He needed to be near perfect because Arroyo Grande pitcher Jesse Yancosek allowed two hits and struck out 11. Harvard-Westlake’s only run came home in the bottom of the first and was unearned.
