Track & Field: Cortes and Gonzalez win City 1,600

Omar Cortes of Santee won the boys’ 1,600-meter run in 4:17.96, Sean Padgett of Woodland Hills El Camino Real was second in 4:18.71 and Jacob Cuellar of Marshall was third in 4:19.50.

Evelyn Gonzalez of San Pedro won the girls’ race in 5:14.57, followed by Geena Person of Birmingham (5:15.18) and Maira Solis of Roosevelt (5:17.79).
