Orange Lutheran dedicated its new basketball court Friday in honor of Nancy Paul, a 50-year teaching veteran who has worked at the school since 1975 both on the court and in the classroom.

As a team statistician, Paul has missed only four of 404 football games and three of 966 boys’ basketball games. After it was noted that she had a 99.5% attendance record during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the facility, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce mused, ‘In government mathematics, we round up. That’s a 100% record--quite impressive.’

Attendees included Royce, other local government dignitaries and several hundred alumni, faculty, staff and school board members. Paul was presented a letter from the White House acknowledging her accomplishments.
