Football: Chaiyse Hales putting on a show for Long Beach Poly

Long Beach Poly is known for a punishing running attack.

Don’t tell that to quarterback Chaiyse Hales, who is airing it out for the Jackrabbits. Hales has completed 10 of 12 passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns to lead Poly to a 13-0 lead over Narbonne late in the first half of their intersectional game.

Hales’ second touchdown pass was a 13-yarder to Richard Smith in the corner of the end zone. The Jackrabbits also let Nicholas Pope try a series at quarterback, and it didn’t go so well. Pope completed one of three pasess for nine yards and Poly couldn’t move the ball.
