If Long Beach Poly is going to avenge last year’s loss to Mission Viejo, it’ll need to do a better job holding onto the ball.

Mission Viejo’s Garrett Marino recovered a fumble on the Jackrabbits’ first play from scrimmage and the Diablos scored three plays later when Alex Bridgford connected on a 24-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Wilson.

Mission Viejo (2-1) leads Poly (3-0), 7-0, with 7:48 left in the first quarter.
