Sophomore Josh Lopez, who started the year running cross country for Anaheim Servite, has been granted a hardship waiver by the Southern Section and can begin to compete immediately for Bellflower St. John Bosco, according to the Southern Section website.

Lopez was considered the No. 1 runner for the Friars and should be a big boost for the Braves.
