Boys’ basketball: Sites finalized for Loyola and Harvard-Westlake games

The athletic administrators from Los Angeles Loyola and Studio City Harvard-Westlake attended Thursday’s Southern Section Council meeting and were able to finalize sites for the much anticipated boys’ basketball showdowns between the two schools in the Mission League.

The Jan. 13 Loyola home game will be played at Los Angeles Roybal, possibly at 8 p.m. There will be no junior varsity game before the varsity game. The Feb. 3 Harvard-Westlake home game will be played at L.A. Valley College at 7 p.m.

The games have become so popular that they needed to be moved out of the campus gyms. The larger facilities will allow more fans to attend the games.
