The Serra League championship game is set for next Friday at Alemany, matching the Warriors (2-0) and Los Angeles Loyola (2-0).

Alemany pulled out a 30-28 win over Encino Crespi. The Warriors’ defense came up with some big plays in the fourth quarter, including consecutive sacks, to overcome Crespi’s Chris Harper, who caught two touchdown passes. John Sanchez made the game-winning 41-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Loyola defeated Bishop Amat, 14-3, with Wyatt Bradford scoring two touchdowns. Bishop Amat lost quarterback Rio Ruiz to a knee injury. Ruiz, however, should be OK. He said it was a knee contusion.
