If the first quarter belonged to Servite, then the second quarter was all St. John Bosco.

The Braves scored 14 unanswered points, pulling into a 14-14 tie on quarterback Rene Medina’s two-yard touchdown pass to Bryce Treggs with 16 seconds left before halftime.

St. John Bosco was completely revitalized in the second quarter after a lackluster opening 12 minutes.

For the half, Medina completed 10 of 13 passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Running back DaVonte Young had 51 yards in 10 carries and Royce Moore had 49 yards in only eight carries, putting the Braves in position to have a pair of 100-yard rushers for a second consecutive week.

After stomping all over St. John Bosco’s defense in the first quarter, Servite could only collect one first down in the second. The Braves finally found a way to stop quarterback Cody Pittman, who had rushed for 51 yards on his first five carries earlier in the game.

Pittman has completed seven of 10 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 53 yards in seven carries. Manaitovini Pauu has rushed for 26 yards and a touchdown in five carries.

St. John Bosco will get the ball to start the third quarter. A victory over the Friars would put the Braves in control of the Trinity League race.
