Six sacks helped Dorsey pull out a 7-6 Coliseum League victory over rival Crenshaw on Thursday night.

Max Lyons had the only touchdown of the night for Dorsey in the first quarter. Crenshaw missed on a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Jerry McConico passed for 273 yards for Crenshaw and Dominique Hatfield caught nine passes for 142 yards. But either penalties or Dorsey sacks disrupted the Cougars all night.

Punter Michael Robert was a key weapon for Dorsey. He repeatedly got his team out of bad field position. It was Dorsey’s first win over Crenshaw since 2006.

Dorsey is 8-1 and 4-0 in league and likely to challenge the winner of Narbonne-San Pedro for No. 1 seed in the City Section Division I playoffs.
