Football: Linebacker Rene Deleon leaves Alemany

Rene Deleon, a two-sport standout at Mission Hills Alemany, withdrew from school earlier this week, creating a big hole in two of the Warriors’ high-profiled sports teams.
The junior started at linebacker for the football team and was expected to be an important contributor on the mound for the baseball team.
Whether Deleon becomes eligible at another school this season remains undetermined. Principal Frank Ferry declined to discuss the reason Deleon left school, but if it was for disciplinary reasons, he would be ineligible at another school.
