Girls’ golf: Palm Desert wins Southern Section team title

Palm Desert captured the Southern Section Ford girls’ golf championship on Thursday at the River Course at the Alisal in Solvang with a narrow victory over Torrance. Palm Desert had a score of 391 and Torrance 392. Palos Verdes finished third.

Elizabeth Doty of Palos Verdes at the low score at 71.
